Purgatorio
What fresh hell is this?
Tonight's the Night: The Rod Stewart Musical.
Holy shit, it isn't even a joke. Here is a little summing up of the show from a London theater website,
"One night, alone and desperate, Stu reflects that if he could only be more like Rod then Mary would surely be his and for that, Stu would sell his very soul.
In less time than it takes to say hot legs Mephistopheles, agent of Satan, turns up ready to make a deal. If Stu commits his soul to reside in Hell for all eternity, the Devil will give Stu the soul of Rod Stewart and then it will be Bye Bye Mr. Dull Guy and hello ladies!
Stu is about to learn the hard way that you can't find true love using another man's moves and that Devil or no Devil there's only one Rod Stewart."
It's like
Faust but with REALLY shitty music and bad wigs.
But thank the lord that there's only one Rod Stewart, eh? can't you just picture about 4 of them playing cards?
I think that a war between Rod Stewart clones and Robert Palmer clones could be a bestselling live theater event. Like the Star Wars movie. The Yoda could be standing on a cliff, looking down of all the lion's mane-like hair flying and say,
"Begun a clone war has" or "Face it you might as well, addicted to love you are."
